The Member of parliament for the Gushegu constituency – Hon. Alhassan Tampuli said, his topmost priorities. He made this declaration when he addressed participants at the first ordinary meeting, of the first session, of the eighth assembly of the Gushegu Municipal Assembly at Gushegu.
On education, the M.P said, since his assumption of office, as the Member of Parliament for the constituency, in January this year, he has so far supported sixty young people with scholarship packages to pursue various academic disciplines of higher learning.
On security matters, he noted that, one major challenge hindering the operations of the municipal police command, is lack of vehicles. He said, he has through his acquaintances, secured a pick-up vehicle for the municipal police command to enhance their operations.
He promised, using his good office to get some major roads in the municipality rehabilitated, to make movement of people and goods, easier, faster and more comfortable.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Issah Musah, for his part, bemoaned the increasing spate of armed robbery in the municipality, with particular reference, to the Galwei electoral area.
He promised to do everything within his power to curb the situation, as it has the potential of militating against all the efforts, by the Municipal assembly, and its stakeholders to bring development to the people.
He however expressed his gratitude to the security personnel for apprehending some unruly people who attempted trafficking seven children out of the municipality.
